Our challenge

MTA is a cutting-edge telecom co-op serving Alaska’s Mat-Su Valley. Until recently, their website didn’t communicate that to their members. Cue Element Agency: we came on to develop a modern, responsive website that spoke to their professionalism without losing the community touch.

Here’s our approach

We started where we begin every project: by listening to the client. MTA staff shared what makes MTA unique, why their members choose them over other service providers, and why members stay: it’s their winning formula of small-community trust coupled with big-provider features. We took that knowhow and created a new, robust, and mobile-responsive website with improved user pathways and modules, and most importantly, content that was warm, trustworthy and approachable.

Ease-0f-use and clear navigation paths are always a few of our top website goals. Most MTA website users are there to learn about, manage, or buy a service. We took extra care to make sure it was as easy as possible for a user to navigate the website and ultimately buy a service. That’s why the navigation bar makes it a breeze to find the right service line.

To best accomplish the project, we provided many services beyond just website development. Element’s services included comprehensive site development, design, UX/UI, copywriting and managing a third-party developer. Early on in the process, we identified a need for authentic, local photography, and hired the photographer and coordinated the shoots to bring out the best of the Mat-Su and MTA.

The results

We’re pretty darn pleased – the new website was finished and delivered on time, and went live at the MTA annual membership meeting. It’s still getting rave reviews.
