RurAL CAP Foundation, a subsidiary of Rural Alaska Community Action Program, Inc., who specifically funds small community-driven projects in rural Alaska. The Foundation approached Element to develop a brand framework, visual identity, and help them establish a digital presence that up until this point did not exist. Potential grantees could only find information about RurAL CAP Foundation on a single back on the Rural Alaska Community Action Program website.
The Basket Weave
RurAL CAP Foundation supports projects that prioritize sharing of knowledge, developing skills for life, and strengthening communities. Element utilized those core values in creating their brand identity. The tradition of basket weaving exemplified this focus as an ancient skill passed down throughout rural Alaska. The basket itself represents community, food, and nourishment —all things that play a major role in rural Alaska.
Small staff solutions
The RurAL CAP Foundation is operated by a small team and dedicated board who needed a solution to reviewing grants and accessing applications. Element designed a stunning user-friendly website that houses the Foundation’s information and online grant application form. Now their communication hub, the website makes it easier for staff, the board, and applicants alike to award and apply for grants.
